Disney Channel star Debby Ryan has apologized for driving under the influence, stating she is “so sorry to disappoint everyone.”
“Over the last few days I have had the chance to think about my actions, and I wish I had used better judgement,” she wrote on Twitter Wednesday. “I recognize that I am a role model and have always worked hard to set a good example for my millions of fans. I am so sorry to disappoint everyone.”
TMZ reported that Ryan, who starred on “Jessie,” was driving in Los Angeles last week when she made a left turn and slammed into a Mercedes. When law enforcement officials arrived, they administered a sobriety test and allegedly arrested the 22-year-old for a felony DUI.
