Toby Keith’s daughter Krystal Keith and her family were almost killed by a drunk driver on the 4th of July, she revealed Friday on Instagram.
“Our 4th turned pretty horrific,” Krystal wrote, captioning a gruesome photo of the mangled car that she, her husband and their toddler daughter were in at the time.
“Hensley, Drew and I were on the way to watch fireworks on the 4th. A drunk driver almost took the lives of my entire family. We all survived the wreck but it’s gonna take some time to heal. Keep us in your prayers. Hug your babies and spouses tight. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.”
Although Keith’s first appearance on the charts was in a 2004 duet with her father in a cover of “Mockingbird,” in 2013 she released a four-song extended play that included a single called “Daddy Dance with Me,” which she performed for the first time at her wedding.
